Arrival

 

The organization’s Program Director arrives prior to the arrival of any camper unless previously arranged otherwise. The contract specifies scheduled arrival and departure times. Upon arrival, the Program Director meets with the designated MHP staff member for a briefing/review regarding the use of the lodging and facilities used by the visiting organization.


Departure

 

1) Check under all bunks and mattresses for trash and forgotten items. Sweep the cabin floors using the brooms and dust pans provided in every room. Empty dust pans into waste cans. 2) Check the showers and bathrooms for any forgotten items and pick up all trash. 3) Check the grounds and pick up trash around lodging and facility areas. 4) Any chairs and tables used in the meeting facility are to be stacked and placed against the wall. 5) Unless previously arranged with MHP management, cabins should be free of articles and debris by 9:30 am on the day of departure. 6) All fees shall be paid in full upon arrival. 7) At the close of camp, prior to your departure, the director along with the designated MHP staff member will inspect the buildings used by the renting group to check for damages and cleanliness. 8) Schedule next year’s camp and arrange for the deposit within thirty days.


General

 

1) The Mile High Pines Camp phone number (909) 794-2824 is available for making reservations or emergency use only. Messages for campers and staff will be forwarded on an emergency basis only. Cingular, Verizon and AT&T service providers all have reception on camp premises. 2) Parking is restricted to designated parking areas as instructed by resident camp personnel. 3) Smoking is limited to designated smoking areas only. 4) There are absolutely no alcoholic beverages or non-prescribed drugs allowed in any of the buildings or anywhere on the camp premises. 5) No pets of any kind (except service dogs - $50 charge) may be brought to camp. 6) Open fires are not permitted except in the designated fire circles. All camp fires must be supervised by resident camp staff. 7) Moving of beds, furniture or fixtures is strictly forbidden. 8) No firearms, flammable materials or liquids are permitted. 9) Construction, garage and storage areas, as well as the water tower, wood pile and kitchen areas (unless assigned) are off-limits to the group. 10) Staff homes are off limits to the group. 11) As a courtesy to other camps and public campgrounds in the area, loud games/noise/music is forbidden after 11 pm and before 8 am. 12) Modest and appropriate attire must be worn on camp premises (covering stomach and cleavage. God honoring or neutral). 13) One-piece swimsuits are required for women at the swimming pool. 14) For safety, footwear is to be worn at all times with the exception of the swimming pool and volleyball areas. 15) Guest groups are required to provide 1 adult counselor per 8 campers for all youth retreats. 16) All lost items are to be turned in to the Mile High Pines Camp office or to the Program Director. Unclaimed items will be disposed after 30 days. Mile High Pines is not responsible for lost or stolen items. 17) Recreation equipment (basketballs, volleyballs …) is available for use. If equipment is lost or damaged, a bill will be generated for replacement. 18) No food or drinks are to be removed from the Dinning Hall. 19) Outside food is not permitted on camp premises unless pre-approved by guest services. 20) Mile High Pines Camp is a walking facility. Bikes, scooters, and mopeds are not permitted. 21) Special provisions for loading and unloading may be available to the elderly and the handicapped. 22) No red punch is allowed anywhere on the Mile High Pines Camp premises. 23) If items need to be displayed on the walls, only blue masking/paint tape may be used to hang and display. 24) If an arts and crafts location is needed, please arrange this with the camp office prior to arrival. 25) The office copy machine is available for emergencies only. The charge for copies is 10 cents per sheet. 26) Campers provide their own linens and towels.
