Tis The Season To Give Back
This summer, we heard from youth hurting from depression, anxiety, and technology overuse. Teens spend less than 40 minutes engaged in meaningful conversations with their parents each week. Many children attending camp were eager to have faith-centered discussions with adults who cared about their relationship with God.
One camper said, "Something clicked during that time [at camp chapel] where I saw my sin and my distance from God. How He still pursues me when I don't want to pursues Him." We see this echoed again and again from campers coming to camp to gain a spiritual foundation. 90% of campers agree that coming to camp had an impact on their life.
Those who attend camp are over three times more likely to remain religious five years later than those who did not attend. Camp provides an essential experience as a safe, fun, and inclusive space and an atmosphere where kids can engage in meaningful, formative discussions about God.
Your donations allow children from low-income or disadvantaged communities to come to camp and have a life-changing encounter with God. In 2023, we hope to provide more scholarships for elementary and middle school-aged children. We aim to add 50 scholarships for children from local communities who otherwise would not attend a Christian camp. We hope every child will know that they have a purpose and value in Christ. Thanks to partners like you, 625 campers made first-time decisions or rededications to follow Christ this summer, and we cannot wait to see what God has in store next year.
