About the Event

General Information

Our Summer Kick-Off is a family friendly evening at camp! Join us for lawn games, a barbeque, and bring your lawn chairs or picnic blankets to enjoy a movie screening under the stars. We will be watching the family friendly film, the Prince of Egypt. The movie screening is completely free! Tickets to the BBQ can be added with an advanced purchase only. Popcorn, candy and drinks will be available for purchase on the day.

Can We Stay Overnight?

Yes. Because of the sunset time, the movie screening will begin at 8pm. Can't stay late? Please join us for games and the BBQ anyway. Or, book an overnight stay! Join us for a hot breakfast and an outdoor time of prayer on Sunday morning.

How to Book an Overnight Stay and add breakfast:

To book and view pricing go to www.milehighpines.com/rent-a-cabin

Or, after you select your meal ticket select the type of accommodation you are interested in. An email will be sent to you so you can add a room reservation and complete your booking.

Has the movie changed from A Week Away?

Yes, due to licensing constraints the movie has been updated. We are now watching the film Prince of Egypt. In this animated retelling of the Book of Exodus, Egyptian Prince Moses (Val Kilmer), upon discovering his roots as a Jewish slave, embarks on a quest to free his people from bondage. When his plea is denied by his brother Rameses (Ralph Fiennes), the new pharaoh, a series of horrific plagues strike Egypt. Moses finally leads the Israelites to freedom by parting the Red Sea and drowning the Egyptian army. God then gives Moses the Ten Commandments, a list of rules for his people to live by.
