9. Staff—Our most valuable resource
Employees are without a doubt the best resource that a company can have. But servants in ministry are rare gems. This year we are grateful for the servants who served with their whole hearts and believe in the MHP ministry. We hope to continue a partnership with employees long after they leave, like Jesse and Liz (both past employees) who were married this year by our director, Gabe Valencia.
8. Summit Lodge Upgrade
We knew that the Summit Lodge needed a face-lift, but more importantly we knew that guest leadership needed a restful place to get away. This year, our remodel has provided a place for hardworking teachers to getaway during our outdoor ed program and it has provided a place for pastors and group leadership to relax and refresh. We are grateful those in leadership who want the very best for their students and congregation, this remodel was our way of expressing it.

7. CODES 4 Years Strong
The Codes Program is still growing strong. Over the past 4 years the program has grown from serving 100 students in it’s first year to estimated 1,300 this next spring
6. Global Initiative-Passion Center
We are so grateful for the ability to continue our partnership with the Passion Center in Malawi Africa. This year our staff made another trip out to work along side the orphanage, help train and coordinate a retreat for the local Passion Center staff and volunteers, and made visits to the local hospitals. This year we are already planning a trip to incorporate our CODES staff and allow them to use their unique skills to teach the students at the Passion Center a little more on the wonders of Creation.
5. Protection from the Fire
After all the campers were evacuated, our staff stood in the center of the parking lot and grabbed hands to pray. The prayers went something like this, “Lord, thank you for the privilege to serve your people at this camp. We know that Mile High Pines is yours and we trust that you will do what you want with it. Whether it burns or stands, we trust you.” After 3 weeks of evacuations during the “Lake Fire” our staff was able to return home, not a single building had burned, and after the smoke disappeared all we were left with was the extreme gratitude that we would be able to continue serving at Mile High Pines.
4. New Mission Statement
This year our board and Executive Director spent time in prayer about Mile High Pines future. During this time of planning and focus, the board revamped the mission statement. We are grateful and welcome our new mission statement as agent of change and as the template for the decisions we will make as an organization.
3. Ruth and Paul Green Trust
The Paul and Ruth Green endowment will provide camp with more camperships (camper scholarships) and provide funds for capital campaigns. We are so grateful for their donation and their love for this ministry.
This year $30,000 was given to under privileged campers so that they could come away and have a life impacting encounter with Christ.
1. People Coming to Know Christ
This year over 100 people made the first time decision to follow Christ. Hundreds more made re-commitments, found their calling, or encountered God at camp this year.
